Mark Sanders

Mark is a renowned drummer and percussionist, known for his unique playing style in the fields of Free Jazz and Free Improvisation. He has recorded and performed with many renowned musicians and artists including Roscoe Mitchell, Evan Parker, Wadada, John Butcher and Christian Marclay.

He has also appeared on Stewart Lee’s BBC TV programme Comedy Vehicle and featured on many Radio 3 live broadcasts including Jazz on 3, Somethin’ Else, Late Junction and Here and Now.

Mark is a principal lecturer at Leeds Conservatoire, Visiting Lecturer at The Royal Academy of Music and Birmingham Conservatoire and has been a guest tutor at Goldsmiths College, Guildhall School of Music and Theatre, Dartington Music and Summer School, Huddersfield and York Universities.
