We are always on the lookout for new and unique artists to work with. Please send us a demo here

How is it to work with Alors?

The attention we pay to transparency, fairness and artistic freedom is unique in the world of production music. We work hard to build trust and mutual respect with all our collaborators.

What’s the deal?

Working with us you will benefit from a higher share of the synchronisation fees than standard production music rates. As the publisher, we will collect any performance royalties due to your music and top up what you receive from your Performance Rights Organisations (PRO) to match the percentage you receive on your syncs.

When do I get paid?

We will send statements and pay you quarterly from a UK based, ethical bank. You will also have access to your sales data in real time.

Can I work in any genre or style?

We work with artist who’s body of work we appreciate and encourage them to contribute in their authentic artistic voice. We will not ask you to imitate something that is currently trendy.

What’s involved in creating music for Alors?

• We have a conversation, give you a brief as inspiration and guide you in the right direction
• You create a selection of tracks in response
• We master the audio, create artwork and assign searchable tags
• When everybody is happy, we sign an agreement with you and upload the tracks to the website
• Your music is now accessible and ready to be licensed

Can I use samples?

We cannot accept any work that uses recognisable samples. Today’s sophisticated algorithms will detect them and lawyers will be knocking on our door, whom we will send knocking on your door : ).

Can I submit existing music from the depths of my hard drives?

If you feel some of your works in progress would fit your contribution and can be edited to the production music context, then yes.

Can I still perform pieces I have created for Alors?

Yes, of course, as long as they are not being recorded for the purpose of a release.

Can music I have licensed to Alors be commercially released?

Yes, we can work something out. As per our Licence Agreement, Alors also has the option to commercially release your tracks if you grant permission.  Third parties wishing to commercially release your tracks will have to license the tracks from Alors.

Can I submit already published material?

Yes, if the current publisher agrees. However, there is no issue with previously published music if the original term has expired. In such a case we will help you obtain the required document from your previous publisher.

What if I am in an exclusive publishing deal?

If you are interested in working with Alors, we can negotiate a deal with your publisher.

Can I work with Alors if I have production music available on other platforms?

Sure.

Can I offer tracks published on Alors to other production music platforms?

No. The tracks you write for Alors will be exclusive.

Do I have a say where my music gets used?

No. However our EULA defines certain areas where your music can’t be used. Like for example the promotion of Arms, Fossil Fuels, Industrial Animal Farming, Land degradation and so on. Political organisations are required to get in touch in order to purchase from us. The decision remains with Alors, but when a situation is not clear-cut, we will be happy to check with you.
